Meet the Therapists

Tim Folmar

LPC, Advanced PMH Trained
Participating in therapy can be both one of the most rewarding and intimidating choices you make for yourself any day of the week! I’m appreciative of the opportunity to work with you throughout that process. Over the past 14 years, I’ve served students as a teacher and school counselor and am familiar with the many stressors and adjustments that occur for kids, adolescents, and parents during the journey of growing up. Its my belief that adults, all of us, also benefit from counseling and intentional work to take care of ourselves. To that end, I create a space free from judgement where you can be yourself and together we can work toward reaching your goals.

As a specialist working with children,  adults, and families for more than 15 years, I have developed a passion for supporting those experiencing stressful,  traumatic,  and uncertain moments in their lives while helping them along their path to well-being. It takes such strength to reach out for help during difficult times. I seek to support you in your journey by creating a safe space and working together as a team to help you reach your wellness goals.

As a clinical therapist with a deep passion for supporting children and pre-teens (ages 4-13), I specialize in addressing anxieties, behavioral concerns, executive functioning difficulties, and emotion regulation challenges.  I have a unique ability to connect with kids, making them feel safe, seen, heard, and supported as they navigate the ups and downs of childhood. I believe in the power of teamwork, ensuring that parents are involved, informed, and learning alongside their children every step of the way.

As a disabled therapist and lifelong wheelchair user, I enjoy working with clients as they navigate life as a disabled or chronically ill person, partner, parent, or child and adapt to a largely inaccessible world. I want to work with clients to develop creative solutions for life’s challenges and strengthen your voice as a self-advocate. I aim to be a warm, positive, and consistent source of support for clients as they undergo life transitions, explore their relationships with family and friends, and forge a path of self-determination by exploring their personal relationship with gender and sexuality.

Witnessing the profound impact of suicide in my community deeply motivated me to explore what caused someone to experience such pain. My childhood was filled with exploring physiology and sociological phenomena that evolved into a passion for mental health and providing therapy to those in need. My mission is to serve you on your unique journey toward mental wellness. I believe in an approach tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. What works for one person might not work for another, and together, we’ll find what works best for you.

Clinical Supervisor

I am a clinical therapist (with lived experience as a wife and mother) who supports women and men through their fertility, conception, postpartum, and parenting journey. My therapy style is authentic, comforting, and conversational. We will explore and collaborate to make connections you haven’t been able to before and help you feel less overwhelmed with whatever you may be struggling with.

It is important to me that you feel supported to truly and openly discuss your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences. I also have expertise in working with individuals who may be struggling with substance use or grief.

Molly Cohen

MSW Fellow

An an MSW Intern, I provide a compassionate and safe space for my clients, drawing deeply from my own experiences as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and graduate student. Having navigated the challenges of postpartum depression and pregnancy loss, I understand the complex emotions these experiences bring, but everyone has their own unique story. As an Orthodox Jewish woman, I am also sensitive to the cultural nuances that shape our lives. My goal is to support clients with empathy and understanding, offering a nonjudgmental environment where they can feel heard and validated. In my free time (which is sometimes hard to find!), I can be found spending time with my husband and daughter, crafting, and reading.

Sharing some of your most vulnerable experiences with another individual can be overwhelming. My hope is that when you believe it is yours or your child’s time to take next steps, that I can provide a comfortable and safe environment to promote healing and empowerment. I look forward to taking the next step with you to begin the process.

I am committed to providing a warm, safe and judgment-free environment for young adults as well as those who are on the journey of parenthood. My belief is that every individual has the right to express their feelings, receive validation and have their voice be truly heard. I have advanced training in perinatal mental health as well as extensive expertise and experience in child development and in providing supportive services for young adults and parents of small children. I also find great joy in supporting individuals in their self-discovery process and in navigating the healing process from trauma.

Clinical Supervisor

I understand therapy can feel daunting, and throughout my 10 years of practice, I have come to believe that empathy and genuine understanding are the cornerstones of therapy. My approach is rooted in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients feel free to explore their emotions and thoughts. Having a multicultural background myself, I appreciate the significance of cultural diversity in shaping one’s identity and experiences. I recognize the impact of cultural beliefs, traditions, and values on mental health, and I am committed to incorporating cultural sensitivity into my therapeutic approach. I actively promote an inclusive environment where clients can freely express their cultural experiences without fear of judgment. If you’re ready to begin your journey towards well-being, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

I chose this path in life because of my strong belief that engaging in therapy on the journey of parenthood works and individuals and families directly benefit from compassionate support. Utilizing more than 20 years of experience working with children and adults, many living with severe chronic illness, I am able to integrate practical tools with clinical education and advanced perinatal mental health training to address a wide range of  mental health challenges. I offer a compassionate space for teens and adults to openly express their emotions, thoughts and life experiences with honesty.
